ABOUT
My name is Virginia Shou, and I am a strategic interdisciplinary designer and an activist who loves community gardening and urban farming. I have 20 years experience in working and collaborating with activists, designers and all sort of creatives in making projects call to action.
I am also a Certified Brooklyn Urban Gardener; I led plant workshops for the Brooklyn Botanic Garden, and I serve on the organization’s Best Practices Working Group that aims to provide more inclusive experiences for all visitors. Originally from Georgia, I recently led Deaf Georgia Vote Blue and has a true passion for advocacy and civic engagement.
I hold an MFA in Visual Communications from Virginia Commonwealth University and two BFAs in Graphic Design and Computer Arts from the Savannah College of Art and Design.
